Multicultural ritual performance

Art installation as an attempt to explore visual expression is constantly performed by installation artists in different regions of Indonesia. Ivana Stojaković, who is currently in master's studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, and in undergraduate studies in dance at STSI in Bandung, combines her diverse artistic experiences and adds an interest in ritual performance to her installation work, turning it into a multimedia project.

It was interesting to follow its development, and how Ivana worked on certain stages, combining multi-media techniques with traditional-modern objects of performing practices characteristic of the people of West Java (Indonesia). In preparation for this creative project, Ivana conducted research on Tarawangsa (traditional ritual), Egrang (people on high wooden stilts) and other elements that she used for her multimedia installation, which thus became a "Multicultural Ritual Performance".
